Yu-Wen Wu: Reigning Beauty Signed Print

$10000

This print features a reproduction of a photograph by Yu-Wen Wu (Artist-in-Residence, 2003) to commemorate the ephemeral site-specific work titled Reigning Beauty, installed on the Anne H. Fitzpatrick Façade from June 17 to October 14, 2025.

Violets, nasturtiums, and hydrangeas escape from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum’s greenhouses and rain down the Anne H. Fitzpatrick Façade in a site-specific installation by Artist-in-Residence Yu-Wen Wu. Inspired by Isabella's passion for plants and the loving care given to our “Living Collection” by the Museum’s horticulture team, Yu-Wen Wu composed a collage of photographs of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum’s flowers, transforming individual blossoms into a windswept shower blooming bright against dark storm clouds.

At once an homage to the fleeting beauty of the natural world and a meditation on the precious vulnerability of the environment, Reigning Beauty is part of the inaugural Boston Public Art Triennial.

There are one hundred numbered prints in the edition.
