COVID-19 and Local Pickup

Gift at the Gardner is delighted to offer an in-store pickup service as a way for you to get your order quickly. Before placing an order for pickup from our museum, please review the following guidelines:

Beginning January 15, 2022, as mandated by the city of Boston, all Museum visitors ages 12+ are required to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 to enter the Museum. Face coverings are required indoors for all persons regardless of vaccination status. Learn more about the Museum's COVID-19 health and safety guidelines here

All customers picking up an order from Gift at the Gardner must check in at the Admissions desk before entering the gift shop. Customers unable to provide proof of vaccination are required to contact the Gift at the Gardner Sales Floor at (617)-278-5122 and give notice of their arrival.

How to place an order for pickup:

  • At checkout, select "pickup" as your delivery method
  • You will receive a notification (text message or email) from us when your order is ready to be picked up. Please bring your order confirmation, which shows your in-store pickup selection, with you to the Museum. You may show it on your phone, or bring a printed copy of your email confirmation.
  • Upon arrival to the Museum, please check in at our Admissions desk first before proceeding to the gift shop. When you get to the shop, show a Gift at the Gardner staff member your order confirmation and they will retrieve your order.
Please note that Gift at the Gardner’s hours of operation align with the Museum’s. Pickup orders will not be available for pickup on Tuesdays, as we are closed.
