Charmaine Wheatley: The Impossible Shoes Print

The second edition in our contemporary limited fine art print series, created from a photograph of a painting titled: The Impossible Shoes by Charmaine Wheatley (Artist-in-Residence, 2012) to commemorate the ephemeral site-specific exhibit titled Charmaine Wheatley: Souvenirs, installed in the museum’s Fenway Gallery from September 2015 to February 2017. The original work is a painting of Isabella Stewart Gardner’s shoes, which the artist made in the Textile Conservation Lab. Each edition print is stamped, numbered, signed on the front by the artist, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
