Charmaine Wheatley: The Impossible Shoes Print

The second edition in our contemporary limited fine art print series, created from a photograph of a painting titled: The Impossible Shoes by Charmaine Wheatley (Artist-in-Residence, 2012) to commemorate the ephemeral site-specific exhibit titled Charmaine Wheatley: Souvenirs, installed in the museum’s Fenway Gallery from September 2015 to February 2017. The original work is a painting of Isabella Stewart Gardner’s shoes, which the artist made in the Textile Conservation Lab. Each edition print is stamped, numbered, and signed on the front by the artist.
