Dante Alighieri Ornament

Isabella Stewart Gardner was fascinated by the works of Italian poet Dante Alighieri. Her collection contains his work, including a 15th century copy of his Divine Comedy, as well as records pertaining to the Dante Society of Cambridge, MA. The Dante Society gifted Mrs. Gardner a plaster copy of Dante's death mask as a gift in 1885.

This dazzling ornament of the world renowned poet shows Dante holding one of his manuscripts.

Ornaments of other subjects and writers featured in the Gardner Museum also available. Complete your collection of Gardner Museum-inspired ornaments with Dante!
