Orange Blossom Pin

Throughout history, Orange Blossom flowers have symbolized purity, innocence, chastity and fertility. In 1684, Louis XIV transferred from Fontainebleau to Versailles and, fond of their sweet scent and gorgeous white flowers, installed his Orangerie. He insisted that even in the middle of January baskets of orange blossoms perfume the rooms. Because they partly symbolize fertility, the flowers have been considered ideal adornments for brides.

The Orange Blossom Pin is made of a patinated bronze with white and yellow freshwater pearls.
