The Coronation of Hebe
1580-1589
Studio of Paolo Veronese (Verona, 1528 - 1588, Venice)
Durable and chic, this umbrella has a black exterior and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum's The Coronation of Hebe printed on the interior. This painting decorates the ceiling of the Museum's Veronese Room and evokes the sensuality and opulence of sixteenth century Venice. The scene shows Hebe being presented by Mercury to her parents, Jupiter and Juno. The umbrella has a curved handle, a auto-open button, and a snap closure with the Museum's name.
This throw features Veronese's The Coronation of Hebe, located in the Veronese of the Museum. The lap blanket's outside displays a phenomenally clear reproduction of Sargent's painting on plush silk-touch microfiber fleece and a Sherpa fleece underside.
