This cold cast resin statue features the Three Graces also known in Greek mythology as the Charities. These women were the goddesses of charm, beauty, and creativity.
Although the Three Graces of Botticelli's Primavera are on view in Italy's famous Uffitzi Gallery, the Gardner Museum has its own Three Graces, in an etching by artist and friend of Mrs. Gardner Anders Zorn. We believe this statue celebrates the consistent reinterpretation of the Three Graces in works of art throughout time.
The Gardner Museum is temporarily closed to the public.
During this time, we are continuing to ship online orders without any fulfilment delays. For local customers, we are happy to offer curbside pickup.
